Instructions

Follow the steps and taste along the way.

  1. Soften the dates

Put the dates in a bowl and pour over 80 ml of hot water at approximately 90 °C. Leave them to soften for 5 minutes; do not discard the water.

  2. Blend the cocoa base

Transfer the dates and all the water from the bowl to a blender. Add the tahini, cocoa powder, salt, and 100 ml of the oat drink. Blend for about 30 seconds, until smooth and free of date pieces.

  3. Make the drink smooth

Add the remaining 300 ml of oat drink and blend for another 10 to 15 seconds. The drink should be smooth and lightly foamy; taste it and, if needed, blend briefly again so the tahini is evenly incorporated.

  4. Serve over ice

Divide 160 g of ice cubes between two glasses and pour the drink over them. Serve immediately while cold; if it separates as it stands, stir before drinking.
